I'm very confused as to what Kraid actually does and who it's for. It's a compiler of some sort, but for what? GLSL? What's significant about it beyond the target backends?

Kraid is the shader compiler for Panfrost, the Mesa driver for Arm Mali GPUs: https://docs.mesa3d.org/drivers/panfrost.html

So Panfrost is an OpenGL ES implementation for Mali-type GPUs then? Thank you for that. Still confused about the role of a compiler here because I'm uninformed. So Kraid is a GLSL compiler that is specific to those GPUs? Neat.

What devices are likely to benefit from Kraid? Are Arm Mali GPUs mostly in Android phones?

Next step is obviously to build Ridley

And an LLM named Motherbrain perhaps?

800,000 test??? wow So if I can use Kriad, does that mean I can build AI without having to use NVIDIA chips

You already can with AMD/Intel gpus. Kraid is a compiler for Arm Mali which is mostly used on mobile stuff, nothing AI related.
