Perfectly timed post… I picked up a Corona 360 with 250GB HD yesterday for $50. Installed BadUpdate 1.3 last night and it all worked perfectly. The boy has been having a blast with it

We are in a retro gaming golden age right now with all the hacks and mods you can run. The Nintendo 3DS is another great space to watch, people are porting games to native 3DS titles currently.

> Nintendo 3DS is another great space to watch
Back in 2020 while the Covid-19 pandemic was on-going and we were all told to stay home as much as possible, I bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL (terrible name making “New” part of the product name btw) second hand for about $100 with some games included. I also picked up some additional games for it second hand as well. I even got a bunch of games that one person was giving away for free.
After enjoying the 3DS XL for a couple of months I eventually sold it to someone else.
I was thinking recently that it would be nice to have a 3DS XL again (I’ve also tried DS Lite during the same time that I bought the 3DS XL, but only the 3DS XL is comfortable to use for the size of my hands).
In my country the amount of money people want for a 3DS XL is much higher now than what it was in 2020. People want $300 and up now for their 3DS XL, even without games included and even if the condition of the console is very worn. The few times that something even moderately decently priced shows up it will most likely get picked up very quickly by someone else that wants to just buy it and then sell it for more.

What's a Corona 360?
>The boy has been having a blast with it
What can you do with it now?

Xbox 360 was sold over a decade. Each version had specific hardware revisions so hackers creating these tools tend to refer to the hardware code names to as a way to identify which revision their hacks apply to.
The below list is from AI, but from a quick view is correct.
Xbox 360 Motherboard Revisions:
• Xenon (2005)
• Zephyr (2007)
• Falcon (2007)
• Opus (2008)
• Elpis (2008)
• Jasper (2008)
• Tonasket (2009)
• Trinity (2010)
• Corona (2011)
• Waitsburg (2012)
• Stingray (2013)
• Winchester (2014)

I expect the commenter has backed up their owned games to the hard drive so their kid doesn’t need to fiddle with discs damaging them, or has installed homebrew retro games. I expect all online functionality has been shut down anyway so it turns the console into an ad free offline gaming machine.
They are still outputting 720p, but the consoles are good value for kids.

Now I want to use one to run MacOS X.

Can collaboration and a fresh perspective solve optimization problems that developers sometimes overlook when they're too focused on making the initial solution work?

It pleases me to no end that the knowledge of others and myself into the Rock Band engine helped stop the scalping of THAW with a freely accessible alternative. I helped obfuscate DaTArrest ;)
